Armando Rubino was born in 1947 in Leonforte, a small village in the province of Enna, Sicily. Since the age of 10, being a son of art, he begins to work in the same tailor shop as his father. The passion for this profession fills his soul so much that he slowly moves his mind away from the small Sicilian village. In fact, at the age of 13 he leaves for Rome, to be able to fulfill his dream. Thus begins his story as a Master Tailor.

1971 IS THE YEAR OF THE TURNING POINT.
AT THE AGE OF 24, HE FINALLY OPENS HIS SHOP
He immediately began to work with some important tailoring brands, including Battistoni with whom he maintained a working relationship for 35 years. He comes into contact with important directors, actors and showmen from the world of cinema and entertainment (Italian and non-Italian) such as Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola, Paolo Bonolis, Gabriel Garko, Luca Zingaretti, Maurizio Costanzo and Michele Placido.

SINCE 1971 IN ROME, IN THE HISTORIC VIA FRATTINA
Sartoria Rubino is located in via Frattina 104, in the beating heart of Rome, between Piazza di Spagna and Piazza del Popolo. In this elegant street where luxury boutiques follow one another, an ancient wooden door leads to Armando's tailor shop. Armando has been based there since 50 years, and is now a reference point for haute couture in the capital.

The Maestro is known overseas, and frequently travels abroad to better serve his international clientele. Over the years he has had the privilege of meeting and working with prominent personalities belonging to different cultures and traditions: from the princes of the Arab Emirates to the Emir of Doha; from Sheikh Khashoggi (at the time the richest man in the world) to some Swiss bankers.
